- I've got a damn good band name, Billie the Vision, Candy said.
- Can I buy it from you? Lars said.
- Sure you can, he answered.
A great band name but no band. One month later everybody on Lars wishing list had said yes to the offer of being
a part in creating the best band in the world. It was no harder then that.

Billie the Vision potrebbero sembrare, a prima impressione, un'altra opo band senza preoccupazioni, che può piacere a più di una generazione. Ma se si va un pò più in profondità, ci si accorge che è solo di gioia, felicità e danze che vogliono esprimere.
Billie non è una persona, più che altro una qualità che consiste nell'incoraggiare il prossimo a cercare dentro se stessi. A non essere preoccupati di sentirsi ingenui, pretenziosi o fuori moda, ma ad essere fieri di ciò che si è.

I Billie the Vision and the Dancers nascono nel 2004. Dopo l'uscita del primo disco, "I was so unpopular in school..." tre membri della band partono per differenti luoghi nel mondo. Quindi, per i primi sei mesi, la metà della band era altrove. Il secondo disco, "The world according to pablo", ha una migliore partenza. Dopo uno spumeggiante show all'Emmaboda Festival, niente ha potuto fermare la band. Dopo un tour scandinavo con i Pipettes (UK), due candidature al più importante premio svedese per la musica indie, nove spettacoli nel Regno Unito e almeno 100.000 download in cinque mesi dalla loro home page, Billie the Vision and the Dancers sono ora pronti per conquistare il resto del mondo.
"Poichè siamo la più grande band al mondo, abbiamo la responsabilità di far ascoltare la nostra voce e che i nostri concerti siano visti. Non solo dal pubblico svedese, ma da chiunque.
Ci prenderemo questa responsabilità", dice il cantante Lars Lindquist.

Billie the vision may at the first impression look like one more pop band without worrying, that appeals
to more than one generation. But if you go just a little bit deeper you find that it's not always joy, happiness
and dancing they want to express.

Billie is not a person, more like a quality that the band want to encourage other people to find inside of themselves.
It's about not being afraid of being naive, pretentious or corny, to be proud of what you are and have the guts to say
"Meet us there at the Nobel Square if you wanna change the world with us".

Billie the Vision and the Dancers was founded in 2004. After the relesase of the first record, "I was so unpopular in school...", three of the bandmembers went to different places of the world. So during the first six months half the band was away. The second record, "The World According to Pablo", got a better start. With a breakfast pop show at the Emmaboda festival in there back nothing could stop the band.
After a scandinavian tour with the Pipettes from the UK, two nominees in the biggest swedish indiemusic award, nine shows in the UK and almost 100.000 downloads from their hompage in five months, Billie the Vision & the Dancers is now ready to conquer the rest of the world.
"AS we are the best band in the world we got a responsibilty to make our voices heard, and our live shows seen. Not only to the Swedish audience but to everyone.
We´re gonna take that responsibility", the singer Lars lindquist says.
